A palinka museum belongs to the Ecker Distillery, 100 km away to the south from Budapest.
In the Palinka Museum you can discover the traditional production of spirits in Hungary. Over 1000 historical objects are on display to lead the visitor through the develpoment of this old Hungarian profession. The museum gives back the original character and state of the distillery, which was founded in 1922 at the same place. You can observe the stages of Palinka production and the equipment used, including a one hundred year old boiler. Moreover ancient documents, shares, bills, delivery notes are also exhibited such as a collection of old bottles and labels. Certainly the visitor will have the opportunity to follow through the history of the distilling in Izsák and you will also find documents regarding the punishment of illegal distilling.
All guests have the opportunity to taste the specialities of Izsák and the Ecker Distillery.
